Company snapshot:

Sydney Sailing School is one of the largest dinghy sailing schools in Sydney and it’s instructors have introduced many people to the world of sailing. The focus is on fun and friendship, we want people to take up sailing for life and do everything we can to make that possible. The founder Chris Kameen is available for interviews and is well known for his professionalism, passion for getting people on to the water, and a bit of Northern Pommie humour.

Short Bio on Chris Kameen:

Chris started sailing when he was 11 years old at West Kirby Sailing Club in the UK. A successful junior racing ‘career’ was followed up at University where he went on to represent his country on numerous occasions as both a sailor and coach including coaching the British Youth Olympic team to Gold in 2006.

In 2005 Chris and his now wife moved to Sydney and sought sailing opportunities for them both, expecting everyone to sail. He was surprised to find that it was actually very hard to get involved, especially if you wanted to sail with your wife! Realising that there were massive opportunities for sailing to grow in Australia, led to him working for Yachting Australia as Participation and Training Manager  for a number of years, before then starting his own Sailing School. In the first 8 months of operation Sydney Sailing School introduced over a thousand people to dinghy sailing.
